TechBuddy announced the appointment of Thomas Frauscher as Commercial Director for the DACH region.
Stockholm, 15 July 2020--TechBuddy announced the appointment of Thomas Frauscher as Commercial Director for the DACH region. Frauscher joins the Swedish tech company after leading IKEA’s Global Service Fulfillment efforts. He brings almost two decades of expertise in logistics and service operations to TechBuddy.
TechBuddy sees tremendous growth as people are increasingly studying and working from home, a direct impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. These new scenarios accelerate the shift to digitalization and therefore the need for support with technical devices. As a conclusion the demand for on-site services will increase massively. Companies will have to deliver on those rising needs, delivering a great customer experience at the home of the customer.
Thomas Frauscher will be responsible for building TechBuddy’s B2B business in the DACH region, starting with the launch of the service platform Buddy.inc to the German market. The Buddy.inc platform allows businesses to manage the rising customer service requests at scale using their own employees or deploying freelancers in the emerging “gig economy”.
Frauscher has held multiple leadership roles for furniture giant IKEA in Austria, Germany, Italy and Sweden, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in multi-channel retail, supply chain management and logistics, and business development. Commenting on his new position, Frauscher said: ”It’s a great time to join TechBuddy as we enter an exciting period of introducing our platform to business customers in the DACH market, and I look forward to playing a key role in supporting TechBuddy to deliver superior value to our customers in Europe. In my many years at IKEA I learned how important it is to focus on the customer and the value of delivering excellent service to accompany a product.”
Tahero Nori, CEO at TechBuddy said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Thomas as the newest member of our executive team. TechBuddy was founded to become one of the leading Tech companies in Europe and our platform Buddy.inc is the driver behind our success in Sweden, Spain and Israel. By bringing Thomas on as Commercial Director we will get one step closer to becoming the leading service enabler for businesses in the DACH region. Offering our platform to customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland marks an important milestone in our expansion strategy.”
