BuddyCompany has a generous refund policy. Wherever reasonable, we always aim for you as a customer to be satisfied — that is the whole point of our satisfaction guarantee. Below we describe the most common situations.
1. You have booked a service but want to cancel
Cancellation should be made in good time. [TO VERIFY: state BuddyCompany's actual cancellation rules. TaskRunner applies cancellation within 48 hours, a charge for cancellation/rebooking within 24 hours, and a 199 SEK cancellation fee if there is no response — confirm what applies for BuddyCompany.]
If the booking is made on the same day the service is to be performed, it cannot be cancelled. It is your responsibility to cancel if you no longer want the help; if we receive no response, a cancellation fee may be charged in accordance with our terms.
2. You are dissatisfied with completed work
Our satisfaction guarantee primarily means we fix what went wrong at no extra cost. A refund is possible depending on the circumstances.
Did your Buddy perform the work according to your description?
Sometimes a Buddy performs a task even though they warned about the result in advance. In such cases you as the customer need to be able to show that your Buddy made an error for a refund to be possible. So always describe the task clearly, and feel free to ask your Buddy to confirm any concerns in writing in the app before work begins.
Are you dissatisfied with the execution?
Your Buddy can return and fix what was not done correctly. If that is not possible or wanted, there are good opportunities for a refund. Please take photos of anything not done correctly.
Has your Buddy caused damage?
As a customer you are always protected by BuddyCompany's insurance. [TO VERIFY: state the insurer and how the excess is handled.] If the damage is repaired and no new costs arise, no refund is made. If the damage took an unreasonable amount of your time, we can agree on a partial refund.
3. The description of the task is inaccurate
If a Buddy arrives and the task cannot be performed due to inaccuracies — such as a damaged product, the wrong item, a poor description or other obstacles — the service may still be charged at the agreed rate, since your Buddy has set aside time and resources. It is your responsibility to ensure the conditions are correct on your Buddy's arrival. If unsure, contact your Buddy via chat or our customer service before the task is carried out. If you dispute a charge, the matter is handled manually in accordance with our terms.
